more about my background
I was born in Virginia and spent most of my childhood in Seoul, South Korea. Before starting my PhD, I studied business as an undergraduate and earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree. My background in law helped build my logical thinking and interdisciplinary lens. I decided to pursue PhD because I have always had a deep interest in seeking knowledge and asking questions about various phenomena.
I have experience in management consulting at Deloitte Korea, where I engaged with practitioners in both entrepreneurial and corporate settings. This experience has been an important source of my research questions and underscored the significance of engaging with the industry. I believe in conducting research that addresses foundational questions to comprehend the complexities of today's market. Through my work, I hope to provide meaningful insights for both scholars and practitioners. When I am not learning something new, I love to explore areas around Chapel Hill and enjoy the Carolina weather. I have a lot of hobbies, such as tennis, knitting and crochet! |
